I'm having a similar problem. When I try to watch a video online using FireFox under Win 8. Apparently Windows is being snotty about people using any browser other than theirs.
I'm about to try to uninstall FlashPlayer entirely and then see whether I can install it so that it will work for all browsers. I'll let you know whether that works.
