I've uninstalled the LAN driver and reinstalled it. I've turned off the Access Point and powered up again. All other computers connected to it work fine on the Access Point.

Remember that the encryption methods can be outdated too, and you might end up having incomplete protection. So keep the other fixe in-hand. The recent routers have a frequency of 5 GHz, but if the present adapter is an old one, then it might not support it.
