Unique Adrenaline Experience 27 cables : If you like pure adrenaline adventure, this is the tour we recommend. This tour offers one of the best canopies in Costa Rica with 27 cables. You will be passing by 11 different waterfalls and you will rappel on two of those waterfalls. The entire tour takes approximately two hours. Pickup time for the tour is AM, and we will return to the villa around PM.
You can do two different activities on this tour. The sky trek is the best canopy located in the cloud forest -- the highest tower is feet tall and the largest cable is almost two miles long.
From this canopy tour, you will see the cloud forest from above, the best of the adrenaline rides. There is also the hike into the national park, which takes approximately 3 hours. Please note that this tour takes three and a half hours to get there one way. Allan comes right to your villa at a time you specify after your arrival.
He shows you all of the available tours and answers any questions you may have. After you select your tours, Allan coordinates with the staff at the villas, so they will know your tour schedule. We took our two kids ages 9 and Smaller groups tend to eliminate the production line and give riders time to look around and the guides time to point out birds, animals and interesting features of the rainforest.
If you want extra thrills sometimes the smaller tours can accommodate that too. You may have to sign an extra waiver but variations like the spinning top or upside down and backwards descent might be on the menu.
Even without an -est factor smaller canopy zip-lines do offer thrills. These tours often include only a couple of zip-lines still enough to get the experience combined with other adventures usually set in a canyon above a river. Depending on the location they may include rappelling inverted if you want — see video below , rope swinging, horseback riding, rock climbing, cliff jumping, swimming, waterfalls and tree climbing.
